These Terms of Use (or “Terms”) govern your use of our website (https://travous.app) and our Travous mobile app (hereafter “Travous”, “we” or “us”), and provide information about the Travous Service (the “Service”), outlined below. When you create a Travous account or use Travous, you acknowledge that you have read and understood Agreements and agree to these Terms.

Service provided by Travous

The Service is made up of the following aspects:

Features to facilitate you to plan trips

• To plan your trip
• To record your expenses
• To create a to-do list
• To create polls

The content that is created on the above will share across with those you have authored, meaning to those who you have granted into your trip.

Sending you email on offerings
Offering newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information. However, you may opt out of receiving any of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link within the email.

Paid service
If you have purchased our paid service, we will create or access your trip with your permission and add trip data into your trip. In this case, you will be asked for information that facilitates the purchase, such as but not limited to your credit card number, the expiration date of your credit card, your billing address, and your shipping information.

For the information you represent and warrant that: (i) you have the legal right to use any credit card(s) or other payment method(s) in connection with any Purchase; and that (ii) the information you supply to us is true, correct and complete.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel your order if we suspect any error in your purchase or other reasons.

Purchasing the service indicates that you have read the FAQ on the service page.

Services that are purchased are non-refundable.

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information, please read it. You must agree to the Privacy Policy to use Travous.

Your Commitments

Our service allows you to post, link, store, share and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, or other material (“Content”). You are responsible for Content that you post on or through Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness.

You retain any and all of your rights to any Content you submit, post or display on or through Service and you are responsible for protecting those rights. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for Content you or any third party posts on or through Service.

You can’t do anything unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent or for an illegal or unauthorized purpose.

1. Violence and Incitement
We prohibit content that incites, facilitates, or glorifies violence to prevent real-world harm.

Not Allowed:

• Threats of high-severity violence (e.g., leading to death) or mid-severity violence (e.g., serious injury), including against public figures if credible, or any targets based on protected characteristics.
• Admissions, instructions, or depictions of violence, kidnappings, or weapon use intended to harm, unless for non-violent purposes like education or self-defense.
• Threats to bring weapons to sensitive locations (e.g., schools, places of worship, polling places) or during events like elections.
• Glorification of gender-based violence or coded threats that could lead to imminent harm.

Content related to election interference combined with violent signals (e.g., references to arson or vandalism).

2. Hate Speech and Symbols
We do not allow attacks on individuals based on protected characteristics (e.g., race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, caste, or immigration status) to promote inclusion.

Not Allowed:

• Dehumanizing comparisons (e.g., to insects, animals considered inferior, bacteria, or sub-human terms like “savages”).
• Allegations of criminality or immorality (e.g., labeling groups as predators, terrorists, or pedophiles).
• Calls for harm (e.g., disease, death, or disasters) or harmful stereotypes (e.g., blackface, Holocaust denial, claims of control over institutions).
• Slurs, insults, or expressions of disgust that exclude or intimidate based on protected characteristics.
• Support for exclusion, segregation, or derogatory commentary (e.g., political, economic, or social exclusion; claims of inferiority or causing sickness).
• Targeted cursing or calls for sexual activity/contact in a derogatory manner.

3. Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity
We restrict explicit content to respect cultural sensitivities and prevent non-consensual sharing, especially involving minors.

Not Allowed:

• Imagery of visible genitalia, anuses, close-up buttocks, or female nipples (except in specified contexts like breastfeeding or protest).
• Depictions of explicit, implicit, or other sexual activity (e.g., intercourse, stimulation, erections, sex toys, fetishes involving harm or bodily fluids, bestiality, incest).
• Images / videos focusing on private body parts without awareness, or extended audio of sexual activity.

4. Bullying and Harassment
We prohibit content that targets individuals to make them feel unsafe or disrespected, with stronger protections for minors and private individuals.

Not Allowed:

• Repeated unwanted contact, sexually harassing messages, or calls for self-injury/suicide.
• Attacks on victims of assault, abuse, or tragedies (e.g., denying events or accusing faking).
• Threats to release private information (e.g., addresses, medical records).
• Degrading depictions (e.g., of bodily functions) or severe sexualized commentary/photoshops.
• For minors/private adults: Claims about sexual activity, romantic involvement, or negative character; manipulated images; ranking by appearance; targeted cursing or expressions of contempt.
• Videos of physical bullying (especially minors) or allegations of criminal behavior against minors.
• Creation of unwanted Pages/Groups/Events targeting individuals, or mass harassment.

5. Child Safety (Including Nudity and Exploitation)
We have zero tolerance for content that exploits or endangers children, prioritizing their protection.

Not Allowed:

• Any depiction of child nudity, sexual exploitation, or abuse (e.g., images/videos of minors in explicit contexts, grooming, or solicitation).
• Content promoting, admitting, or instructing on child sexual abuse, including AI-generated or fictional material.
• Sharing or threatening to share private images of minors, or calls for harm against children.
• Requires Additional Context: Content requiring verification of age or intent, such as ambiguous depictions.

User Responsibilities

• Post responsibly and respect others.
• Report violations using in-app tools (e.g., “Report” buttons for posts, comments, or profiles).
• Avoid repeat offenses, as they may lead to escalated actions.
• You agree not to use any robot, spider, or other automatic device, process, or means to access the Service for any purpose, including monitoring or copying any of the material on the Service; take any action that may damage or interfere the Service.

Reporting and Enforcement

Reporting Mechanisms: Users can anonymously report content via easy-to-access tools. Reports are reviewed by AI and human moderators, prioritizing urgent cases (e.g., child exploitation) within 24 hours.

Enforcement Actions: Violations may result in content removal, visibility reduction (e.g., demotion in feeds), account warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans. Appeals are available for decisions. We cooperate with law enforcement for serious threats.

Access to Travous

When you create an account with us, you confirmed that you are above the age of 18, and that the information you provide us is accurate, complete, and current at all times. If you provide inaccurate, incomplete, or obsolete information, we will terminate your account on Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

Links to Third Party Web Sites

Our Service contain links to third party web sites or services that are not owned or controlled by us.

We have no control over, and assumes no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party web sites or services.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT TRAVOUS LIMITED SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FOR ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS CAUSED OR ALLEGED TO BE CAUSED BY OR IN CONNECTION WITH USE OF OR RELIANCE ON ANY SUCH CONTENT, GOODS OR SERVICES AVAILABLE ON OR THROUGH ANY SUCH THIRD PARTY WEB SITES OR SERVICES.

Our Service is provided “as is”, and we can’t guarantee that it will be safe and secure or will work perfectly all the time. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ALSO DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
